Benetton ha detto di non avere legami con I fornitori tessili del palazzo crollato a Dacca. Poi ha rettificato dicendo che in passato e solo per un’occasione c’è stato un legame. Ma i fotografi delle grandi agenzie fotografiche internazionali, Associated Press e Agence France Presse, hanno immortalato camicie col marchio verde Benetton tra le macerie del palazzo collassato il 27 aprile (382 i morti al momento). La notizia è stata pubblicata per ora, per quel che mi risulta, dall’inglese Guardian e dall’Huffington Post Usa. Silenzio in Italia. In Inghilterra coinvolta Primark, in Spagna Mango. In Inghilterra ieri sul Guardian foto davanti alla sede di Primark con manifestanti e cartelli “shame” (vergogna).
Se Benetton è smascherato lo si deve ai fotogiornalisti, quelli tanto vituperati da minus habens che non è neanche il caso di citare.

Kevin Frayer (born 1973) is a Canadian photojournalist noted for his wartime work in the Middle East including the Gaza Strip and Iraq,[1] and Afghanistan. Starting his career in 1991 as a photographer for theCanadian Press, his first assignments were in Yugoslavia. From 2003-2009 he was based in the Middle East, and has recently moved to New Delhi as the AP’s Chief Photographer for South Asia.[2] His work is distributed by the Associated Press (AP) and has accompanied countless news stories around the world.
In 2006, Frayer along with a group of colleagues were finalists for the Pulitzer Prize in news photography for their reporting from the war in Lebanon. His photographs of Palestinian protesters caught in a tear gas assault won a prize from the World Press Photo awards in 2009.[3] He is married to the journalist Janis Mackey Frayer, South Asia Bureau Chief for the CTV Television Network.
He was one of several journalists threatened with loaded rifles by Afghan police during elections in Afghanistan.[4]

Lo scorso 15 aprile è’ stato premiato a Honk Kong con l’Human Rights Press Awards per le sue foto della diaspora dei Rohynga, musulmani perseguitati in Birmania.
Munir Uz Zaman, photographe AFP bangladais, âgé de 34 ans, a reçu le premier prix ex æquo dans la catégorie « photojournalism feature » lors de la 17ème édition annuelle des « Human Rights Press Awards », organisée conjointement par l’Association des Journalistes, le Club des correspondants étrangers de Hong Kong et l’antenne d’Amnesty International à Hong Kong.
